I've finally managed to upd ate the client... a couple of things:Asaf Tevet wrote:
I'm running the latest viewer on Windows 11 connecting to MacOS on a laptop with host 1.0.23.q and with 1 external monitor but can not switch monitors / view the external monitor - can only view the laptop itself.
Also, does the simple upd ate method work for the apple client?
1. It seems the latest host (1.0.24) doesn't support MAC OS 14 - I had to do a full upgrade of the system before it would work.
2. Upgrading the host version from 23 to 24 - I needed to install it and uninstall it 3 times before it would work. It asked me to se t permissions but even though I'd se t them they didn't come up green. After the 3rd attempt they came up fine.
3. Even on host version 24 I can not view more than the primary monitor. When I click on the monitor icon in the viewer (v7.7.3 on Win 11) nothing happens.
Upload shows MAC info and host version

On Linux I successfully connected to and from a Zorin 18.1 laptop. Things seem to work well so far. One notable exception is dual monitor support. I'm using beta 24 on Zorin and 7.7.3.0 on Windows 11.

Hi Pauline,
Our Mac Studio in on OS version 26.3.1. I've confirmed that wake for network access is on. Also, I am using the latest versions of viewer on both Windows an Linux, experiencing the same issue on both.
Thanks!

Hello Asaf,
Thank you for your message.
You are absolutely correct, the latest MacOS version does require system update - I will be forwarding this to our developers, so we can quickly fix the system requirements on the download page.
As for the permissions and monitor issues - I will be forwarding these as well to see if we can try and reproduce them in our environment.
I’ll get back to you with an update on this shortly.

Hi Pauline,
When the screen is black, the Viewer in Window 11 says Connecting to XXX. Please wait. (XXX being the name of the Mac). Oddly enough, in Android the screen shows as black, and if I move the mouse, the Mac mouse pointer appears and moves. Linux (Zorin 18) shows a spinning circle!
If I connect to the Mac using Chrome Remote Desktop, the monitor wakes up and becomes viewable on all three operating system devices.
Hope that helps.

Pauline,
After sending the last response I thought to test my Linux (Zorin 18) machine with the screen asleep (black). It wakes up as expected from both Windows 11 and Android.
