Beta testing: Remote Utilities for macOS/Linux

I've finally managed to upd ate the client... a couple of things:
1. It seems the latest host (1.0.24) doesn't support MAC OS 14 - I had to do a full upgrade of the system before it would work.
2. Upgrading the host version from 23 to 24 - I needed to install it and uninstall it 3 times before it would work. It asked me to se t permissions but even though I'd se t them they didn't come up green. After the 3rd attempt they came up fine.
3. Even on host version 24 I can not view more than the primary monitor. When I click on the monitor icon in the viewer (v7.7.3 on Win 11) nothing happens.
Upload shows MAC info and host version

Just a note for Ubuntu users. Ubuntu 25.1 uses WAYLAND as the DEFAULT windowing system. If you haven't installed an alternative then disabling Wayland in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf will do nothing. you need to install an alternate like KDM Plasma or something else that will allow you to then switch from Wayland-based.

ok so today I had the opportunity to set this up remotely for a MAC client for the first time. We went to the RU page, MAC section, download the agent and opened the agent file. What I expected to happen was that a normal agent screen would come up with some connection details - ID/password kinda stuff, but instead all that came up was a COG and it said DONE. There was no agent running that I could see on screen or in any taskbar...  what did we do wrong?
Tried the same actions multiple times - downloaded the agent again - same results :(

question - do we need to be using the MAC Viewer to connect to a MAC Agent? or will the regular viewer we use work? (in my instance windows based).
The reason I ask is because the recommendation with the updates is to update both the agent and the viewer but the current release viewers aren't actually being updated every time a beta is updated....

Hi everyone - not sure if these questions have been asked...
1. Can the BETA host versions for MAC be initiated and upgraded remotely exactly the same as the regular client is updated or is it a different process?
2. Is there documentation/step-by-step guide on how to install the MAC host?  (haven't seen it) This shouldn't really require a full release version and is more about process to follow on the MAC which would be really handy when getting someone to install it on the other end
3. I've been waiting for this for so long I had to find an alternate program for MACs... it would have been good if something went out to the client base to notify them of the beta testing :)

Keep up the good work

Hi guys,

any update on a release date for a MAC host? it's been in dev for a couple of years already but nobody will give us any real update. I hate that I have to pay for additional software just to service my MAC clients....

No service Sunday morning 2/20

Working here in Australia now - connected to sample computers with no issues.

No service Sunday morning 2/20

Same issues - thanks for the update guys.

Cannot connect to any of my clients

anti-climax - the TPG engineer called me back, checked to see if services were up and running again (to which I said yes), at which point he was very happy to quickly close the call without any further investigation.
Were there and changes made on Friday? Today? that could have affected services? - not anything he knows about.... kinda slack but hey... it's all working now right? :)
