The key for Remote Utilities should start with RUT, not RMS. The RMS prefix is for the Russian version only.

Hello Coffmans,

Is that happening with a newly registered free license key? I.e. you click the Get Free License button, the key is generated and successfully written to the Storage and then you get the "Invalid License key" error when trying to apply the key on the remote Host. Correct?

The key should have been sent to your email too (the one you specified when generating the key). Before going further and to exclude some temporary glitch I would recommend to do the following:

1. Generate a new key (you can generate as many as you wish) and specify a correct e-mail address.

2. When you receive an email with your key, and if the error still persists, try to copy the key from the email and paste it in the registration form.

Yes, the free GMS software is for those who want to completely control a firewall bypassing connection (without our company servers involved, that is). It's free of charge (albeit requires at least one Remote Utilities license).

Sorry there is no tutorial on GMS yet, but instead you can use the GMS Help downloadable from here http://www.remoteutilities.com/support/user-manual.php . We are going to create a more concise GMS tutorial soon.

Hi Jerry,

Thank you very much for your warm feedback. Despite the software name you mentioned has been censored (this is our forum rules) I can guess what software you meant.  :) And it's all the more pleasant to be graded high in comparison to that software.

Speaking of web version, we are planning to provide at least address book sync over the web (website account) in the near future. Besides, we are currently hardly hardworking to release our first mobile versions, for iOS and Android. This is going to happen very soon. So stay tuned!

Hello Sebastian,

Thank you for your post.

You can specify the user in connection properties, on the Security tab, see "Send user name" field in the additional group.

Can I connect to the same time to different users?

Yes, you can. Just create two address book records with two different users.

Don't forget to create users and set permissions first. See Host settings -> Security -> Authorization tab (link Users and Access Control).

[resolved] Socket Error Every Night Around Same Time
Socket Error is seen around midnight every night and it looks to be causing login issues with Remote Utilities
