Hello Efraim,
With Remote Utilities you cannot connect in to your mobile phone. You can only connect from it to a remote PC using Remote Utilities mobile client. It does not make sense to add your mobile IP address to the Viewer address book.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for your message.
Sorry, but there is no such setting. This process is automatic. You should check your Internet / network connection to address the root cause and eliminate the cause of packet loss. Perhaps, there is some security software or policy in place that prevents the network from working normally.

Hi Phann,
I'm not sure this is caused by Remote Utilities. The program doesn't affect or change your power options or screensaver settings.
Thanks.

Hello David,
Thank you for your post.
The link you provided is a temporary link to a beta page. However, it should redirect to the normal download page at this URL https://www.remoteutilities.com/download/
By default the Host should start automatically once you install it. If it doesn't start (i.e. you don't see its icon in the system tray and no rutserv.exe and rfusclient.exe processes in Task Manager) then you should restart the Host computer.
Hope that helps.

This is not the way to start the Host. You should start it using the Windows Start menu -> Remote Utilities Host -> Start Host. Do not click directly on the exe file, that won't work. This workstation does NOT have AV installed yet. When I launch C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Host\rutserv.exe in compatibility mode, the app starts (using windows troubleshooter) and runs.

Thank you for your post.8 Lettr wrote:
How about any way of telling if someone is remotely connected to your computer? I understand the OP wondered about programmatically detecting it, but I only want to check on occasion--how would I find that out?
The Host icon should go red when there is an active remote session. In this current version (6801) it doesn't turn red due to a bug in the final release, but that will be fixed in the upcoming 6.9 release.
Other than that, there are some "administrative" means to ensure that the remote user knows when someone is being connected to (or is attempting to connect) to their computer. They are:
Notification panel
Ask user permission feature
You can also enable sound and balloon hint in Host options:
Hope that helps.

Hello Jack,
Thank you for your message.
Could you please clarify what exactly you mean by using the touch screen? Currently, the mobile client allows you to move the remote mouse pointer and send keystrokes.
