Thanks for the info. Since Remote Utilities is a simple utility that doesn't leave a lot of traces, the conventional way of uninstalling it always wins.
Wiping the registry key is an additional measure to make sure the uninstall is complete and the Host settings are reset. But there's only one such key, so it's easily done manually and no additional tools are needed.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have other questions.

Phil,
The information in #6 was a bit outdated. The correct registry path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Remote Utilities\ . I have now also fixed/modified that old post.
First, try to simply remove that registry key, restart the PC and see if the Host works. If not, then you may try the same but with re-installing. Needless to say you must be an administrator on your PC when doing installation.

Hello Phil,
Are you trying to launch the Host by clicking on the executable file in the installation folder?

Hi Vasilis,
Thank you for the kind words :) We do not publish a single list of bugs-to-fix. Fixed bugs are shown postfactum on our Version history page https://www.remoteutilities.com/product/release-notes.php.
But if a user reports a bug and we can reproduce the bug - we quickly acknowledge it and put into the queue for further fixing. :)

Hi Simon,
Glad to hear it fixed the problem. This option was added for compatibility because of some screen capture algo changes in the recent Windows versions, namely 8/8.1.
Windows 10 looks more promising, btw.

Sorry, my question was different - did you use the Alt key in other situations, apart from switching the language? Did it work?

Hello Simon,
Thank you for your report. Please, try the following:
1. On the Host computer - right click on the Host icon, select Settings for Host -> Options, and enable the "Use legacy capture mode" option.
2. Restart the Host computer/tablet.
Hope that helps.

That is, "free" hunters have a 10-duck license each. But there are also hunters who purchase licenses to shoot a lot more ducks than that :)and different hunters can have a license to shoot a different number of ducks each

Hello Mike,
Yes, you can. Starting version 6.1 the license code is applied on the Viewer side only. The Host actually doesn't care who connects to it.
Let me give you an example. A flying duck can be shot at by multiple hunters, and different hunters can have a license to shoot a different number of ducks each. Their license doesn't tell what specific ducks they can shoot, it only sets the total limit. Also, the same duck can be simultaneously shot by multiple hunters.
So the duck is a Host, hunters are Viewers, however stupid this example might sound. :)
