Hello George,
Thank you for additional information. You said that you changed the IDs, but do you remember what was the format of the IDs previously? Did they start with "S-..." or were they in the new format which is XXX-XXX-XXX all digits.

Hello Dennis,
No, this doesn't work that way, sorry :) You'll need to start the configuration process all over again.

Please, note that we do not tolerate comparative and general statements like "Product X is better (faster, cheaper etc.) than Remote Utilities" here on this forum. All such messages will be deleted without warning and the user will be banned.

Rene,
If you are connecting directly using the IP address of the remote PC, there shouldn't be any issues with speed provided that you have good network connection.
Also, please note that different programs have different initial (default) color settings, and some of them can even automatically adjust the quality depending on the speed "better". If you want to compare apples to apples, just set exactly same connection settings in different programs.

Rene,
If you use MS Remote Desktop does that mean that you can connect directly to the remote PC using its IP address? Do you do the same with Remote Utilities, or do you use Internet ID connection instead?other remote administration tools like Remote Desktop (MSTSC) from Microsoft

Hi,
You probably mean Host, not Agent?I also verified this by asking them to do a restart* and first connect VPN and then start/restart the Agent.
So am I right assuming that without restarting the remote Host you can't get to the remote PC after it switched to the VPN?*Last encounter with this problem the users at the remote machine was not very techsavy. I asked for a restart of the Agent, but the whole machine was restarted instead :-) This is the same machine I'll try to get hold of the logs from.

Hello Rene,
We neither limit nor control the bandwidth used by Remote Utilities. It always uses the full bandwidth. I'm afraid that the issue is elsewhere. BTW, do you 16-bit color or 16 colors? These two are different things.
Thank you.

Hello Mathew,
This is because the Full Control mode is the only mode available so far, not just on Android but also on iOS. Sorry for that :)
However, in the nearest months we'll be significantly improving the mobile version and we are planning to add a couple of new connection modes there, including the View only.
Let me know if you have other questions. Thanks.
