session timeout

Hello Thom,
If User 1 disconnects with the option "Lock workstation on disconnect" enabled, the remote desktop will be locked. User 2 won't be able to get access to it without knowing User 1 Windows password.
But I do agree with you that an additional option like "Log off Windows user on disconnect" instead of just locking could also be helpful. I will hand this suggestion over to our developers.
Thanks.

Hello Thom,
Thank you for your message.
Although there is no option to log out on timeout, there's another similar option. You can lock remote workstation upon terminating a remote session.
Right-click connection properties, select Additional properties and check the Lock workstation on disconnect option.
Hope that helps.

Hello Rick,
Thank you for your message.
To set/change the access password, access the Host settings, click Security -> Change password and set/change the access password.
Hope that helps.
P.S. Sorry for the Windows upgrade issue. This is a known bug and it happens because the Host's settings are located in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM folder which is wiped by Windows during upgrade (hence, the Host settings are reset). Starting the very next update (v. 6.5) the settings will be located in another place in the registry so this problem will be no more.
Thank you for your message.
It means that the access password is either not set or incorrectly typed in.Users are able to connect, but when the login screen appears and credentials are keyed in, it reappears with an empty password field. I presume that means the credentials are not accepted thus interrupting the login process.
To set/change the access password, access the Host settings, click Security -> Change password and set/change the access password.
Hope that helps.

Keith,
We didn't receive any reports recently about the antivirus programs that you mentioned treating our Host badly. We also do regular checks on our own and monitor antivirus activity as it applies to Remote Utilities. There was nothing alarming.
Still, what you describe looks very much like antivirus software activity. Please, do report to us if you find a consistent pattern.
Thank you!

Hello Keith,
Thank you for your post. Couple of questions:
1) Is there any antivirus software installed on the remote PC? If yes which one?
2) Did you upgrade Windows (8.1 and earlier) to Windows 10 with the Host having already been installed?

Hello Jason,
Thank you for your question.
Don't hesitate to ask me if you have other questions.
Thank you for your question.
It will bring you to 0 connections. The "counter" is on the Viewer side only - only the number of your address book records counts against the license.would that bring me back to 0 connections, or will I be at 1/10 and always be 1/10 regardless if I connect to another computer (then becoming 2/10) etc.
Don't hesitate to ask me if you have other questions.

Hello Mark,
Thank you for your message.
Sorry, so far this is the only mode available, but we plan to implement monitor switching in the near future.
