Hello Ian,

I moved your message to the appropriate forum.

Regarding the issue - please, allow a second or two when you move your pointer over the target area. The program needs some time to "register" the move.

Hope that helps.

Hi Ashley,

The error text the same? The next time it crashes could you please try to remember what specific actions were preceding the crash. Perhaps we can reproduce it then here.

MSI one click installer seems to be random if it works

Hi Ashley,

The root issue seems to be the Host service not starting. That, in turn, may be caused  by different reasons but often this is due to either security settings or antivirus software activity.

Not sure why it happens in this case though. We'll do additional testing on Windows Server R2 to see if we can reproduce the issue.

Thank you for all your feedback.

Hello Ralph,

Indeed looks like something went wrong with the monitor driver installation. If you have trouble installing or uninstalling Host, try this Microsoft fixing tool https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed .

If you don't find the Host in the list of programs that failed to uninstall, try selecting "Not listed" and specify the Host's GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) to uninstall manually. The Host's GUID for the current version 6.5.0.8 is:

{112E8D96-20F6-41CB-A1F2-C0E3A9ADD3BE}

Hope that helps.

Hello Paul,

Thank you for the information.

You probably need to fix msi on your computer. Here is a fixing tool from Microsoft https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed

Let me know if it worked out for you. Thanks.

Hello Ashley

Could it be that you closed the remote install form/dialog when remote install was in progress? This could be the reason why this error happened.
