Just an Update Info

It may not even be security software. This could be another type software. Is there any software or application common for all the Hosts that have issues starting/restarting?

Just an Update Info

Hi Matthew,

Is there the same security/antivirus software installed on all the machines? Have you tried to add the Host installation path to the exceptions? I know this sound a bit of a simple question, but 99% of time it is security software to blame. Especially, as you mention that Host can stop working all of sudden without a prior reboot/restart of the system.

Just an Update Info

Hello Matthew,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Let us try to get to the root cause of possible. First, to summarize the previous posts - does this issue manifest itself after rebooting the Host machine? That is, when the remote machie restarts (be it after Windows update or not) the Host may not start with Windows? I believe this is the core issue, correct?

Block Agent

Hello Ole,

Have you tried submitting a false positive report to the vendor of your security software so that they stop blocking legitimate and digitally signed Agent module?

report Trojan Newsest Update

Hello ,

Thank you for your report. Have you tried to submit a false positive report to them? It is actually a dangerous sign that an antivirus program is incapable of distinguishing between legit software and malware.

Hello Robert,

Yes, you can. So long as you the only concurrent user you can work from multiple Viewer machines with the same license.

Beta testing: Remote Utilities for macOS/Linux

Hello Asaf,

Thank you for your message.

1. It is going to be the same process, but currently Host isn't available for Mac yet. It is only Agent that is available. We are going to release Host a bit later (either as beta, or together with the Agent final release).

2. There's no documentation yet because there hasn't been a Host for Mac yet. We'll provide the necessary documentation once the Host is out.

3. We avoid spamming our client base unnecessarily. We only notify about critical or major updates, and full releases.

Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions.

Next Windows Viewer and Host release?

Hello Bill,

The next RU for Windows release is planned within a couple of weeks. While it is going to be mostly a 'technical' update (fixing minor issues and adding small improvements), it will also have a new feature added namely Kerberos support.

Thanks.

Beta testing: Remote Utilities for macOS/Linux

Hi Jim,

As a followup to the numpad issue - we managed to reproduce it. We will fix it in one of the nearest updates.

Note, that currently it works if the NumLock is pressed on the remote keyboard (i.e. NumLock light is on). The problem is that NumLock press isn't transferred remotely.
