Hello Bretislav,

How update Agent without change ID and pass, please?

There is no such thing as "updating Agent" in common sense because you do not install the Agent, you run its executable right away. When run, the Agent generates a new ID and password. However, this ID and password stays the same the second, third etc. time you run the Agent on the same PC.

If you need a permanent access to the remote computer use the Host instead. Everything you can do with the Agent you can also do with the Host. If you need to configure attended access with the Host, just use the Notification panel and Ask user permission options.

And ...

any chance build code with features auto update agent via download from defined links, BEFORE run agent?

And feature ... reload runing Agend after reboot PC?

Thanks

Do you mean Agent or Host?

Can you run the MSI installer with the command-line switch "/passive" or do you have to build a 1-click EXE?

Here is information that can help https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc759262(v=ws.10).aspx .

Checking what license (if any) a host has registered...

Angus,

It's in the config_4.xml in the portable Viewer folder, on the USB or whatever you run it from. However, we'll soon start putting the license information to license.txt file as it was before.

Thank you for valuable information. I'll forward this to our developers for investigation and see if we can do anything about it.

Informing remote user about my presence

Hello Angus,

Such fading out or minimization could negate the whole purpose of the notification panel - to be a constant reminder of someone being connected to the PC.

For a one-time notification the Ask User Permission is better to be used.

Hope that helps.

It would be a Good Thing if we could update a remote's RU host from the Viewer control panel.

You actually can. This is called Remote Install tool.

There is a more general consideration - whether to provide RU Server (GMS) version for Linux. Although we do have this on our wish list, it's not currently the biggest priority.

It would be a Good Thing if at the VIEWER end there was an exportable log of all viewer sessions.  This would be very useful for billing support events, for example, or for documenting how much remote support a given user or computer required over time.

A full-fledged reporting system is on our roadmap. No ETA as of yet, unfortunately.
