You have the monitor driver installed, correct? To make sure, access Settings for Host -> Options -> Driver tab.

Just in case - the monitor driver is used for the blank remote host feature. It doesn't affect the multi-monitor capabilities per se, nor your ability to switch between monitors.

In fact , we only recommend to install the monitor driver if you need the "blank remote screen" feature, that is if you provide remote assistance and need to hide your actions from the person sitting at the remote end (e.g. for security reasons). Otherwise, you can clear the "Install monitor driver" checkbox during Host installation, or uninstall the driver in the already installed Host from the Settings for Host -> Options -> Driver.

You mean the connection name, right? Actually, you can switch to the Details view in the Viewer and have different columns enabled and arranged they way you need. A table view is always preferable (and conventional) when working with multiple entries because it allows you to easily sort your records.

Instant search feature in the Viewer is also ready and will be available with the upcoming release 6.6.

You need to restart the PC. This is a common issue with Hosts being installed on Windows Server. Yes, the Host can run without restarting the PC, but sometimes restart is still required, especially on Windows Server.

Regarding this tooltip. We are going to remove it altogether in the upcoming update, because the tooltip is redundant. Now the Details view in the Viewer has all the necessary columns including HostName.

A question: Are you updating an existing installation with your custom Host package, or is it a new installation on that PC? That is, no Host was previously installed.

But my ID-Server doesn't see any new devices. Ok, i stopped the service and ran the exe by hand to check its settings. All settings are reverted to default - this means, standard ID-Server is used, no saved passwords etc...

You can simply run Settings for Host from the Windows Start menu.
