FR: Linux, Mac - Host
I'm sorry. That indeed takes more time than we initially expected. Mostly because we put a lot of effort into the new self-hosted server.
Still, because we fulfill most of our promises (alas, we can't fulfill them all due to sheer time/resources restrictions) and fix 100% of bugs we find I cannot qualify for the press-secretary :)
Remote Utilities has been installed
Thanks.
FR: Linux, Mac - Host
We will announce Mac version when it is ready. Perhaps, there'll be an open beta first.
Internet-ID stopped working
Perhaps I should have explained my advice. Remote Utilities is software of dual nature. With each update, even a minor and sub-minor update there are little features and fixes added to Host and Viewer.
Therefore it doesn't make sense to troubleshoot a problem before Viewer version matches the Host version. Even more so - both should be the current version.
Otherwise, i.e. if we try to diagnose a problem when there is a version mismatch and/or it's an old version, we cannot tell if this is a yet unknown problem, or just an old bug already fixed in the current version.
Thanks.
Add a "Ringer" in the chat facility
Sure, I will add a sound notification for the chat as a suggestion to our wish list. Thank you!

Thank you for your message.
There were complaints about the Viewer being deleted by Windows Defender, but it has been a few days already since they fixed the issue. Did you try to update your Windows Defender virus definition database/version?Windows 10 Defender complained when I tried the MSI Config (which you already know about).
The reason I'm posting is because I came here looking for a program that won't constantly run into AV problems like my current program [censored] Admin. You want a lot more money for similar functions, but if I'm going to be thwarted occasionally and have to tell my clients "Sorry, my program got deleted, time to install TeamViewer" then it's a fail on my part.
This is a good question, but I'm afraid that this question should be asked Google and AV companies. If they are incapable of telling legit software from bad software, how can anyone even trust them and let them "protect" their PCs? Similarly, how can anyone pay for this false "protection"?Is this issue with Google and AV companies ever going to be fixed once and for all?
Thank you. But if there is rogue software that disguises itself as "antivirus software" and blocks or deletes legit software from users' PCs, there is little we can do.Do whatever they're doing because I'd rather pay my money to a small developer than one of them.
Remote Utilities has been installed
Thank you for your message.
This is how notification now works in Remote Utilities starting version 6.6. There is more information about it in this blog post.
The buttons are not clickable remotely. Only the remote user sitting at the remote PC can click OK and close the message. This is a protection mechanism against rogue/hidden install and use.
By the way, this message only appears if "Generate ID" option was selected during MSI Configuration. If this option is not selected, then no message is shown.
Hope that helps.
Some improvements and doubts
Thank you for your message.
No, there is no limitation as to Windows XP support, any service pack. Regarding the Internet speed - although the more the better, there are still no specific limits because remote connection should work fast even on slower Internet speeds.
You can close the Agent using the regular Close button at the top right corner. As an improvement, it would be nice to have a button at the bottom of the Agent to 'Disconnect + Close', because if you try to close on the Agent's window cross this one gets close but Viewer receive a message about retrying connection.
The Agent doesn't necessarily have to close if you close the connection on the Viewer side.On the other hand, if you close the connection on Viewer's connection cross, the connection is closed but Agent don't close.
Internet-ID stopped working
Thank you for your message. Please, update the Host to 6.6.0.3.
Annoying message in 6.6.0.3
Thank you for your message.
What antivirus software do you have on your Agent/Host PC?
