We would like to enroll the Host for following use case:
- LAN connections via Hostname and Windows Security
- Internet ID connections via randomized Internet IDs and passwords

But with Internet ID the password is pre-set and the Windows Security isn't available unless they're in our LAN.

Should we enroll the host with LAN only mode and + Security and the Agent for Internet ID? But with the Agent you can't use UAC.

Is it possible to enroll the Agent like the Host via GPO etc.?

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

You can enable Internet-ID connection along with Direct connection on your Hosts at the same time and also set up multiple authentication methods, so if one of the authentication methods is not available, the software will automatically proceed with the next one. You can see an example of the auth methods order on this page (see the text in the yellow frame).

Is it possible to enroll the Agent like the Host via GPO etc.?

Agent doesn't require installation, so it's not possible to push-install it via GPO, but you can configure a custom Agent file and distribute it over the computers in your network, so it's readily available to just launch it on demand.

Hope that helps.

Hi, but then the single password has to be preset by us right? So everyone has the same password right?

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

In case if you want to preset password for your Hosts manually, you can use different or the same password, depending on your preference. However, you can also use our MSI Configurator tool to create a custom Host installation file and set up a password during the configuration process - in this case, the password will be the same for all Hosts installed using this installation file. You can also use this custom installer to update settings/passwords for your existing Hosts.

Hope that helps.
