no capture icon on linux

Support level: Free or trial
I am running Host version 7.6.2.0 (70620) on Windows 10 Home 2009 (19045.5854) and connecting it by using Viewer version 1.0.19q (70511) Beta 19 on Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS. When I connect to the windows machine, I can't find any capture sound icon on the toolbar. I only have full control, settings and menu.
Hi Robert,

Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, capturing sound isn't currently available for Viewer for Linux/Mac.

Thanks Conrad,

That is why I wish articles would mention OS and version when they are explaining how to do things.

Obviously this article I found must be incorrect.

To enable sound capture during a remote session in Linux using Remote Utilities, ensure you're in Full Control mode and then activate the "Capture Sound" option, either through the toolbar icon or by enabling it in connection properties. If you're using Remmina, you can adjust audio output modes to local or remote, or set audio output to local in advanced options to hear sound from the remote PC.

I googled sound capture with remote utilites in linux.
Hello Robert,

Thanks for the feedback! We totally agree that including OS and version details in articles makes a huge difference, and we'll definitely update our knowledge base to be clearer moving forward.

Also, just to clarify, sound capture support should be available in the stable version of Linux once it's officially released.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks Pauline,

I wasn't blaming Remote Utilities as I don't believe the article was form them, it was an AI generated thing.

Any idea when capture support would be available. I am tempting to completelt ween myself off of windows so just making timeline plans.
