Sorry for the bother. I figured out the problem. It has nothing to do with the release. It has to do with the fact that I was using Remote Utilities on Linux, and there is no file transfer option there. Back on my windows machine and everything is fine.

I used to do this without any issue. At some point I updated to 1.0.19.q (70511) beta 19. Now the buttons that used to be at the top like full control, file transfer etc are gone. How do I kick off a file transfer in this version.
It looks like the host I am trying to connect to is 7.6.2.0

Thanks Pauline,
I wasn't blaming Remote Utilities as I don't believe the article was form them, it was an AI generated thing.
Any idea when capture support would be available. I am tempting to completelt ween myself off of windows so just making timeline plans.

Thanks Conrad,
That is why I wish articles would mention OS and version when they are explaining how to do things.
Obviously this article I found must be incorrect.
To enable sound capture during a remote session in Linux using Remote Utilities, ensure you're in Full Control mode and then activate the "Capture Sound" option, either through the toolbar icon or by enabling it in connection properties. If you're using Remmina, you can adjust audio output modes to local or remote, or set audio output to local in advanced options to hear sound from the remote PC.
I googled sound capture with remote utilites in linux.

I am running Host version 7.6.2.0 (70620) on Windows 10 Home 2009 (19045.5854) and connecting it by using Viewer version 1.0.19q (70511) Beta 19 on Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS. When I connect to the windows machine, I can't find any capture sound icon on the toolbar. I only have full control, settings and menu.

Hi Polina,
If I understand correctly voice chat is meant to be used when there is someone physically at the host location. My situation is I am connected to the host computer via RU. Local xxxx calls local yyyy (my phone at the host location). The host computer connected via VOIP and using jabber gives me the option to answer the call. I hear the caller of course because the sound from the host computer is being transferred to the remote computer via RU. They don't hear me because the mic on the remote computer is not being pushed to the host computer, or so it would seem.
I tried voice chat but that does not seem to allow me to have full control of the computer, which I need. After starting voice chat, I clicked the full control button in the options box, but I am not sure of that still leaves me in voice chat, or if has switched to full control outside of voice chat.

Very good question and maybe sound is all I can get. I noticed this morning my local computer seem to do what looks like a Windows 10 upgrade, so not when sound is played on my host computer, I can hear it on my local computer in the viewer.
What I was hoping for was to have a phone conversation. People can call me via jabber and I can answer the call on my host computer. I can hear them when they talk but they can't hear me. What would really be happening on that case is my local mic would have to transfer to my host computer. Maybe this is not possible.
