Downloaded the current version, setup Server on my server, Viewer on my workstation, Agent on a laptop for testing. Windows 10 Defender complained when I tried the MSI Config (which you already know about).
The reason I'm posting is because I came here looking for a program that won't constantly run into AV problems like my current program Ammyy Admin. You want a lot more money for similar functions, but if I'm going to be thwarted occasionally and have to tell my clients "Sorry, my program got deleted, time to install TeamViewer" then it's a fail on my part.

Is this issue with Google and AV companies ever going to be fixed once and for all? Does LogMeIn and TeamViewer have these issues? Why not? Do whatever they're doing because I'd rather pay my money to a small developer than one of them.

Hello Ted,

Thank you for your message.

Windows 10 Defender complained when I tried the MSI Config (which you already know about).

There were complaints about the Viewer being deleted by Windows Defender, but it has been a few days already since they fixed the issue. Did you try to update your Windows Defender virus definition database/version?

The reason I'm posting is because I came here looking for a program that won't constantly run into AV problems like my current program Ammyy Admin. You want a lot more money for similar functions, but if I'm going to be thwarted occasionally and have to tell my clients "Sorry, my program got deleted, time to install TeamViewer" then it's a fail on my part.

Is this issue with Google and AV companies ever going to be fixed once and for all?

This is a good question, but I'm afraid that this question should be asked Google and AV companies. If they are incapable of telling legit  software from bad software, how can anyone even trust them and let them "protect" their PCs? Similarly, how can anyone pay for this false "protection"?

Do whatever they're doing because I'd rather pay my money to a small developer than one of them.

Thank you. But if there is rogue software that disguises itself as "antivirus software" and blocks or deletes legit software from users' PCs, there is little we can do.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for your valuable input. I'm with Tech Department and I can assure you that all other Remote Software programs in the market today faces the same issue as to ours, big or small.
False positives from Google, Microsoft and all other A/V companies are all too common especially when a new version of a file is released. Since a new file version is unknown to these companies, this is usually the most common cause for files being flagged.

For future major version updates, we'll try to inform everyone prior to deciding to update to avoid any disruptions in your day-to-day activities.
