Hi Michael,

Would you happen to know which file, defender is specifically blocking? Microsoft has a 10 MB limit for reporting false positives.

Thanks

Agent.exe got blocked by defender on a client PC yesterday. I  had to use  [censored] Rescue instead. I did verify they were up to date but didn't collect the exact information. They were Windows 10 64.

Hi Josh,

Started up my machine this morning and "rutview.exe" had disappeared. Checked Defender and it had quarantined it after the update early this morning. I attempted to download again, and it was blocked from install. Below are the details from the quarantine before I allowed it thourgh.

containerfile:C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Viewer\rutview.exe
file:C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Viewer\rutview.exe->[RSRCEmb]#4

I've contacted Microsoft and the issue should be resolved after an update. Let me know if this happens again.

Thanks!
This seems to still be an issue. This is with Windows Defender on Windows 10
file: C:\Users\%username\Downloads\viewer6.9.portable.b.zip->ru.viewer.portable/rutview.exe->[RSRCEmb]

Hi Nick,

We already sent a report to Microsoft and they said that they fixed it. Could you please try updating your Windows Defender signature bases and see if the issue persists.

Thanks.
