Had been using Remote Utilities Viewer, quite happily, on Windows 10.
However, having now downloaded on a Windows 11 Laptop I cannot install it - I get the message “The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation” - and "Smart App Control Has Blocked Part of This App".
Apparently, the most accepted solution to this issue is for the Application Software to set a licence up for installation.
I get the impression that many W11 Users have got round this (or perhaps not even seen it??!!)
Ideas/thoughts?
Best Regards.

Hello Geoff,
Thank you for your message.
Is there any specific information or a screenshot as to what parts are blocked? There's also a post on the subject in the Microsoft community here.

Hi Conrad - many thanks for a speedy, helpful response..... much appreciated.
Although the message during install suggests "Part of..." I think it is merely referring to the App as a whole, since the messages discuss "App Properties".
I have attached the 2 messages.
Given the Microsoft reference you refer to states: "Note: if you disable this feature it will not be possible to enable it again, to reactivate it you will need to perform a new installation of the 22H2 version of Windows 11" then I feel I should NOT remove the feature - as it is a bit of an exercise, to reinstall the feature as it requires a Reinstall of Windows 11 (which seems a poor design, by MS, in my mind!!)
What I do not understand yet is whether this issue is commonplace across Remote Utilities Users - or am I one of a rare example... any ideas?
Once again, many thanks for your Help & Support
Best Regards.

Hi Conrad. One other question, re this Post I have made.....
I notice that, on the "Discussions" page, under "Author: Geoff Holmes" it says "AntiVirus Issues". What puts this tag on, deciding it is an AV issue? I did not flag it as such (well, not intentionally!!) on my original submission??
Best Regards.

Hi Geoff,
Unfortunately, the only way to bypass the Smart App Control feature in Windows 11 is to disable the feature as described here.
In addition, I’ve noticed that your screenshot says Viewer 7.2.2.0 which is a few versions behind, so this might be what is triggering the Smart App Control feature. We recommend that you download the latest version of Remote Utilities 7.6.2.0 on this page and see if you are able to install the latest version or if the issue persists.
Let us know if this helps.

Pauline - GREAT support, many, many thanks to you and Conrad.
I don't know why - and APOLOGIES... I did believe I had downloaded the latest version(!!) as I would look to do that before requesting help.
Anyway, I have now successfully installed the latest version of Remote Viewer- once again, MUCH APPRECIATED : )
Best Regards.
