I would like to change the application password in the Windows viewer (7.9.0.0), but I cannot find an option to do so. Do I need to delete and reinstall the viewer?

Hello Horst,
Thanks for your question. No need to reinstall. Which password do you mean? There are two that are often called that.
1. The password the Viewer asks for when it starts. This is the address book encryption password, set under Tools > Options > Protection with the Encrypt address book option. To change it, turn the encryption off, save the options, then turn it on again with the new password. Keep the new password safe: without it, the encrypted address books can't be opened.
2. The password you enter when connecting to a remote computer. This is the Host's single password, and it's changed in the Host settings, under Authentication > Change password. You can get to the Host settings in three ways:
Hope that helps.

- during a remote session, by right-clicking the Host icon in the remote computer's system tray and opening the settings;
- from the Viewer, by right-clicking the connection in the address book and choosing Remote settings;
- at the remote computer itself.
Hope that helps.
