Will selecting the "Ask user permission" and "Deny everyone except..." options ensure no one will be able to access the device without permission?Polina wrote:
Hello,
Thank you for your message.Unfortunately, no, in this case Remote Utilities will be uninstalled as the factory reset feature removes all apps and their settings as well, it's only possible to keep personal files. For more information please refer to this guide on resetting Windows.Computer 1: If a computer has had windows factory reset, is there any chance of Remote Utilities remaining on the device?
However, you can backup your existing settings or address books. To backup settings for Host export and copy the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Usoris\Remote Utilities Host\ .
To backup Viewer settings export this registry key: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Remote Utilities Files\ . To save your address books copy the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Viewer\ or follow this guide on backing up your address books.Of course, you can simply disable the Internet-ID connection by selecting the Turn Off option in the Host Settings -> Internet ID Settings. This way, the Host computer will only be available for Direct Connection, i.e. only for those Viewers that can access Host directly by its IP address or DNS name.Computer 2) Is there a way to disable or at least disable any external access to the computer without uninstalling the software?
Hope that helps.

Two questions for two computers.
Computer 1: If a computer has had windows factory reset, is there any chance of Remote Utilities remaining on the device?
Computer 2) Is there a way to disable or at least disable any external access to the computer without uninstalling the software?
Thanks!
