Connection password rejected

Viewer and Host are 7.6.2.0. Both are on Windows 11. I have just downloaded these for trial. I've installed Viewer and Host on my PC and Host on my wife's PC to test. I (believe I) have successfully created a connection using Internet ID, but when I try to connect, it doesn't accept the Host's password. This is the password I gave the Host - using single password only - correct? I have done this 4 times, even resetting the Host password, restarting it, etc. Any suggestions? Not a great start for my trial.

This sounds like an issue might’ve been caused by some antivirus software activity. Could you please make sure to add the Host installation folder to the exception list of your a/v software following this guide and, perhaps, reinstalling Host from scratch as described here. After doing all of the above, please try connecting to your Host once again and see if it works this time.

If both PC's are on the same network, I would try a direct connection using IP addresses instead of Internet ID. I only use the Internet ID for my PC's that are off site, and even then I usually try to set them up for direct connection if possible.
