Wake On LAN

Ok, check these settings on your windows 10 machines. Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center->Change Adapter Settings. Right click on ethernet adapter and go to Properties. Click Configure, then Advanced. Make sure green ethernet or energy efficient ethernet is disabled. Sometimes it has both. Then make sure all your wake on lan settings are enabled. Wake on magic packet needs to be enabled. Disable shutdown wake on lan if it is listed, but you may need to do trial and error with this setting.

Then, go back to control panel and go to Power Options. On the left, click on choose what the power buttons do. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable at the top. Then disable turn on fast startup.

WOL in the BIOS also needs to be enabled but BIOS settings are different depending on the manufacturer. I also disable other sleep settings in the BIOS. But I know these settings in Windows 10 need to be set right for WOL to work with remote utilities. Let me know if you have any questions.

Wake On LAN

Are you running Windows 10?

Wake On LAN

I was able to get it working. A lot of setting changes in the bios and on the network adapter. Do you have energy efficient or green ethernet disabled?

Host Computers show offline

After I install remote utilities on a host machine, it says it's offline. I install it remotely from the viewer and it installs, so I'm not sure what the issue is. The viewer is running 7.1.5.0 and the host is running 7.1.2.0. Thanks.

RFUSCLIENT.EXE Error

One of my hosts is getting this error. Any idea what would be causing this? Thank you.

NT Authorization Error

I have tried logging in with that with no luck. I will send the host log file soon. Thanks.

NT Authorization Error

Yes, I have windows authentication set with my user. This is the same setup I have on all of my host machines. I even uninstalled RU on that host machine an reinstalled but I'm still getting the same error.

NT Authorization Error

I am getting an authorization error on one of my hosts. I have installed RU on a number of workstations but this is the only one that is giving me an issue. It asking for credentials but none work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It disappears no matter what when I sign in. It disappears with viewer still open. The only way it doesn't disappear is if I'm not signed in. That won't work since I need to sign in to sync active directory. Is there any other place to add a comment on the RU server?

I have tried that. Even if I sign in and add the comment it still disappears if I close the viewer and open it again. I have it set to sign in automatically. After it signs in the comment disappears.
