Please do NOT create separate topics for Internet-ID server issues. Report them here, in this topic.This topic is for everything about our public Internet-ID servers: their status, updates from us, and your reports.
We've switched back from our backup server to our original server, and the DNS record for id.remoteutilities.com has been updated. Some downtime can be expected while the change spreads.
If your Viewer or Hosts show offline, flush the DNS cache on that machine. On Windows, open a command prompt and run
ipconfig /flushdns
then restart the Viewer (or the Host, from its tray icon). The steps for macOS and Linux are in
this article.
Please note:
- The 7.9 update has nothing to do with it. There is no need to update or roll back.
- Only the public servers are affected. Direct connections and connections through a self-hosted RU Server work as usual.
