Two questions for two computers.
Computer 1: If a computer has had windows factory reset, is there any chance of Remote Utilities remaining on the device?
Computer 2) Is there a way to disable or at least disable any external access to the computer without uninstalling the software?

Hello,
Thank you for your message.
However, you can backup your existing settings or address books. To backup settings for Host export and copy the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Usoris\Remote Utilities Host\.
To backup Viewer settings export this registry key: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Remote Utilities Files\. To save your address books copy the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Viewer\ or follow this guide on backing up your address books.

Unfortunately, no, in this case Remote Utilities will be uninstalled as the factory reset feature removes all apps and their settings as well, it's only possible to keep personal files. Yes, enabling the Ask user permission feature means that every time someone wants to connect to your Host, the remote user needs to accept or reject the incoming connection.
Enabling the IP Filter feature will ensure that only specific Viewer with a specific IP address or within an address range can connect to your Host, or, in case with the Ask user permission feature enabled, to request a permission from a remote Host to connect to it.
