MacOS Remote Agent

Support level: Free or trial
Are their any simple instructions for installing and using the current MacOS version?

I have been using the windows versions of RU for sometime to help family members with computer issues.

One has a Mac and has asked me to help her get her email working again.

Being non technical she is having difficulty making the Mac remote agent go and as I haven't used it before I''m not sure how to advise her as I haven't seen this version in use.

she lives in Melbourne, Australia and I am in Auckland, New Zealand

I am using the current version 7.6.2.0 viewer on windows 11

(I don't really want to reinstall  [censored] again)

Thanks
Graham

Remote Session Notification Configuraiton

Support level: Free or trial
Is it possible to disable the pop up message " Your computer has been connected in a remote session.   If you  did not authorise this session, visit remote utilities.com/info"

In the settings under Interface " Show remote connection alert for paid licences" is not ticked.

This message covers all the tray gadgets making it almost impossible to view or use them during a remote session.   I don't remember having this issue when I first started using Remote Utilities so maybe this issue appeared with a recent update.

(I use Remote Utilities to access my 2 home PCs when I am away)

Top toolbar missing on remote viewer

Support level: Free or trial
Thanks Conrad,

Hovering at the top of the screen doesn't get the tool bar back even though I have tried the mouse cursor in various positions.      I note that the "Pin" gadget is activated all the time (when the tool bar is present after a restart) and I can't toogle that off.

The F12 and other keyboard shortcuts that you gave at least give me a work around saving me from having to forceably shutdown my laptop.

I also have the Viewer installed on a Intel Compute Stick, also running W10s and this doesn't have any issue with the tool bar disappearing.   The only issue with the Compute Stick is that it is way to slow for remote access.

Top toolbar missing on remote viewer

Support level: Free or trial
Sometimes when I am using the viewer on my laptop to remotely access my PC at home, the tool bar at the top disappears and I haven't found a way to  get back to my local desktop other than to hold the power button to shut down my laptop and then restart it.   I use the viewer in full screen stretch mode as the screen is small and this is the easiest to see with my aging eyes.

I have tried a restart of the the remote computer (from the Start menu) but this just leaves me with a screen that I haven't found a way to get out of.    Ctl/Alt/Del brings up the remote Task Manager rather than the local one so that is no help either

Is there another way to get this toolbar back or to disconnect the remote session  with  some other key combination

Thank you
