Hi,

Most recently, I tried with following:

Viewer: v7.1.7.0
Hosts: v7.1.2.0, v7.1.5.0

I encountered the same problem with all previous versions also;  I just never got around to posting about it until now.

[Resolved] Server Based MFA

I would like to second this feature request.

The MFA token should be unique to each user.  Currently, when multiple users need to access the same host, the current host-based 2FA becomes a pre-shared key.

Also, server-based MFA would avoid the time synchronization problem with the host-based 2FA.

Sometimes, it is hard to enforce NTP sync of our customer PCs.
Time sync of our custom authentication server is much easier to manage.

[Resolved] update fails if Print Spooler service is disabled

Both local and remote update fails if print spooler service is disabled, even if printer driver was not installed.

Task manager shows process "C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Host\rutserv.exe"  /printeruninstall" running indefinitely.  The uninstall/install proceeds successfully after manually killing the above process.

Workaround is to manually enable the Print Spooler service before initiating the update.

However, can the updater check to see if the printer driver is install and skip the above?
Otherwise, a warning or instructions to start the spooler service before beginning the update would be appreciated.

Currently, initiating a remote update can lead to loss of remote access if it hangs at the above stage.

Thanks.

Custom Server Security with Host behind HTTP proxy

We are able to use our self-hosted RU server for custom server security.

However, some of our hosts at our customer's site are behind a HTTP proxy.  We are able to connect to them from our viewers through our self-hosted server, when security is set to single password, so the relay function is functioning properly.

When we change the security to custom server security, the viewer gives a "Custom Server Security Authentication Error" message.
The host log shows "Error TMyOpenSSLSocket.ReadStream. (EMyOpenSSLException)。"

Symptoms are similar to this post in the forum

Also, on the host, when we bring up the "Settings for Host" window, and click on "Users and access control" under the Authentication tab, it is not able to connect to our self-hosted server.

Is this configuration supported?
We have tried the latest host and viewer version (v7.1.2.0)
