I can connect to my laptop at home from Android (mobile phone on 5G to my laptop which is behind my home ISP Router). So maybe it is the firewall at the office that is causing the problem. But again, it's strange that my laptop Windows viewer connects through the same port on the office firewall.

Sorry I'm answering my own questions :-)

I should add that when connected with OpenVPN the Android Viewer connects immediately even when using the Internet-ID. Not sure that helps though...

Connection Settings on the Android viewer:
Caption: my computer name
Host: (empty)
Use Internet-ID: on
Internet-ID: correct number is in place
COdec: Auto
Save password: on
Port: 5650
RU Server: not activated

Host Version 7.6.2.0 on Windows
Viewer Version7.2.8.0m12.7.1x64 on Android 14

I can connect to Windows desktop computer from Android when using OpenVPN but not when using Internet-ID. The app just hangs and says "preparing" at the bottom left of the screen.

Windows Viewer 7.6.2.0 connects without issue using Internet ID.

The Android problem occurs on both a Galaxy S24+ mobile phone and a Galaxy S10plus tablet.

My first thought was the firewall at the office but seeing as I can connect with the Windows viewer using Internet-ID it's probably not that.

Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips I could try?

Excellent. Thanks for the update. I tested a short while ago and it worked perfectly.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Trying to connect to 2 laptops in Spain but they either do not appear to be available (offline) or appear to be online but when you attempt a connection they go offline again.
Using the standard INternet_ID connection method.

id.remoteutilities.com can be found using a DNS lookup in Chrome.

I can succesfully connect to the remote laptops using Google Chrome Remote Desktop.
I'm a new user and this is not a great start.
