Why would I use a Mac to view? No need.

Mac support would have been nice a few years back. A lot of RMM solved it now though. Remote Utilities so good though I can quickly see if my clients are sane and RDP tunnel. Great value.

Very nice. Does this mean Host is not far behind?

If I have a computer online and logged on I should be able to wake up other computers using that. Might involve keeping track of MAC addresses. Currently I'm doing this manually by bringing up a remote terminal and running mc-wol.

I had this problem a lot also. Didn't realise it was related to Remote Utilities.
To get windows back I have to power it off 3 times during the boot up to force start up repair then can
select boot into safe mode with networking.
Then just rebooting will roll back the update (sometimes had to do this twice).
Then run the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to disable that update.
wushowhide.diagcab Show or Hide Updates
Will have to try setting the RU host service to manual next time.

Yes very strange. No interest in the Mac viewer whatsoever but host absolutely required.Richard lilley wrote:
Hi,That is surprising to me, does anyone from the community have a comment on this?. It's only that we decided based on our user feedback that Viewer will be the first to go.
Thanks

I honestly couldnt care less about a Mac/Linux client. As an actual IT admin I have windows machines lying about why support tinkerers using macs. I dont understand why its even on the agenda. My customers however use whatever they can get their hands on so they need agents installed I dont have a choice. Even if its just basic functions that allow me to use a keyboard an mouse would be a blessing.

Also greatly in need of a Mac agent/host now as its becoming a pain in the ass to use an alternative just for these clients. Even though RU has its quirks its much preferred. Any word on an ETA?
