"Administrator rights are required" error

Symptoms

When attempting to run the MSI Configurator, a warning appears:

Admin rights required error

Solution

  1. Fully exit the Viewer (File➝Exit).
  2. Right-click the Viewer shortcut on the desktop and select Run as administrator: Run as admin
  3. Go to Tools and click MSI Configurator to run the tool: MSI Configurator button on Viewer toolbar
