RU Relay: where is the login user name logged?
Support level: Site
We have a site license and have configured a large number of endpoints. On the RU Relay we have configured user accounts and have setup the relay to only allow authenticated users (signed in fr om the viewer application). For GDPR compliance in case of security breach we have to be able associate connections with the user name.
I've checked the log directories of the relay (stats and connections) but I could not locate wh ere the username is stored. Can you please advise?
In case this information is not logged, is there any chance to include this functionality in the relay before the next version release? GDPR compliance has a quite high priority in our deployment, for obvious legislation reasons.

Is there any ETA for a release of RU 6.12 and its respective relay?
Using a large number of systems here, so I feel reluctant to switch to a beta version, even if it improves performance....

I would like to second that. [censored] is much faster with its routed connection compared to RU with a direct connection sadly...
For the time being I've alleviated this performance disadvantage by connecting to RU hosts with RDP-over-RU (which is faster than [censored] ). This does mean that RU hosts should not be WIn 10 Home systems and additionally a user and password should be present on the target machine.

Does the economy network usage mode actually work?

Hello again,
I'm trying to check this feature and I must say I'm buffled. I'm monitoring (objectively) the traffic via SNMP and (subjectively) via responsiveness. I do not see any difference at all when I'm switching from standard mode of operation to economy mode on the viewer. Does this require some special procedure?

Does copy and paste work?

That is very strange. I've been using RU for some time now both at home and at work. I've never managed to get drag and drop to work!
Perhaps I'll find the time to test the beta.

Hello Polina,
I'm referring to drag and drop here. I'm mainly using an Internet-ID connection over a custom relay setup. Unfortunately, no matter how much time I'm waiting I can't make this happen. I've also checked the viewer settings and in it the checkbox to disable drag and drop is deselected. So everything seems fine, but drag and drop does not work, either way I've tried.

Hello,
any idea why copy and paste does not work? I'm the latest stable host everywhere and I'm unable to drag and drop from local to remote desktop. Windows 10 as both host and viewer environment, but I've also tried with the viewer on XP or the host on XP.

Hello,
I'm sorry, I opened a new thread, before watching this one. Don't know
I'm testing the Linux viewer on LUbuntu. I was wondering, does the linux client have any functionality to encrypt the connections? This works just fine on pc, so I was wondering if it would be possible to have the same type of functionality on the Linux client.
If it does, can I just import the encrypted addressbook to the Linux viewer?

Relay: freezes frequently

Thanks again for your solid advice. For the last couple of days the relay seems to behave rock steady, without doing any software upgrades at all, just some VM changes. Hope it stays that way :)
