Thank you for the feedback.
1. No, Viewer doesn't have to be a Linux version. You can connected between OSes in various combinations. Namely, you can connect from Windows Viewer to Linux Host.
2. Unfortunately, Wayland has some built-in limitations as to letting remote access control. However, we will explore this topic closer and there's a chance that we will add Wayland support in the future.
Thanks.

Going through some testing I've found that if the remote Linux machine is restarted or logged out it cannot be logged into remotely. RU connects, but the screen is blank and must be logged in locally before it can be accessed remotely. I wonder if it's related to Wayland, but that's a guess.
Thanks for the feedback. Have you enabled x11 on the Linux machine?

For those who install Host linux, please make sure you enable the X11 display system as Wayland isn't fully supported. You can use the Host right-click menu -> System access to enable X11 display system.

Usefull command line keys:
sudo ./r-host -install
sudo ./r-host -uninstall
sudo ./r-host -start
sudo ./r-host -stop
sudo ./r-host -config

Hi GE,
Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, each custom installer package—even if it is signed with our digital signature—generates a different file hash. This is why some antivirus programs may still detect it, even if the standard (vanilla) package is not flagged. In such cases, the customer will need to report their specific file individually after preparing a custom package.
That said, the whole point of digital signatures tends to get overlooked in the “security industry”—they are often ignored altogether.

Hello Cosmos,
Thank you for your message.
1. Both Windows and Linux/Mac Viewer use the same address book format. You can use the 'address book manager' (available in the address book tree context menu) on Linux/Mac the same way you can do in the Windows Viewer.
2. This might not be immediately available because currently the Linux/Mac Viewer has more limited functionality than the one for Windows.
3. Yes, it is. Same license key and same registration process.
P.S. I'm saying 'Linux/Mac' because the version for these two OSes shares the same codebase. In most cases when we update a version for Linux that means that an update for Mac is also available, and vice versa.
Thanks.

Hi John,
It took a bit longer because this feature only sends keep-alive requests about once a minute. It was designed this way to avoid clogging the network in environments with hundreds of thousands of PCs.
Thanks.
