Can't add license to server after update

Just updated to latest server version and when asked in the install for my license key clicking the button to add it did nothing. I finished the install with a free license then opened up the config window to try add it there and just got the same thing. Everything else works but clicking "Add" in the license section doesn't do anything.

Rolled it back, tried again, same result.

OS is Windows Server 2016 headless. Going to run up a 2019 server and see if it will work there, upgrade is overdue anyway, but don't know if that will fix anything.

Full iOS viewer update?

Hey guys,

It's approaching the end of the year and still haven't seen any updates around this. Being able to work from iOS/Android devices is basically a standard feature from remote access utilities - I really love this product but if I have to purchase and deploy a second solution just so I can use it from a mobile device what's the point?

Would really appreciate any kind of update here.

Full iOS viewer update?

Seriously for years the mobile version of the system is and remains utter garbage for anyone using it professionally. I run an RU server and all I want is to be able to open it up, log in to my server, and see my clients as pulled down from the server address book. Just like how the other viewers work.

It’s so bad I VPN to a machine back in the office running the viewer instead of the native app.

Every single time this is brought up it’s “being worked on” with “no ETA”. For years. I’d have thought v7 would have updated the viewer but still nothing.

Do I need to start looking for another solution? Because knowing I can do my job just by throwing an iPad in my bag is a huge benefit and this slow clunky workaround is pretty tiresome.

Can we get SOME kind of update that isn’t “yep we want that, no ETA though”.?

Linux Server

Are there any plans to create a Linux based server? Everything about server management is just so much nicer in Linux, it would be nice not to need to maintain a bloated Windows machine for this one service.

Updating each version is a major hassle.

Hi,

Any updates on this? Redoing all my install versions yet again for a new deployment and it's quite tedious as well as opens me up to error if I get a setting wrong.

There just seems like so many better ways to do this.

Cheers.

Old Clients just.. gone.

No worries, I'll run some tests on the next update and see how it goes.

Old Clients just.. gone.

Hi Conrad.. last time I attempted to use the simple update feature, it completely wrecked the installation and had to be redone from scratch.

Has this been updated recently (last couple of releases) as I did actually contact you guys about it and you advised me not to use it.

Old Clients just.. gone.

It's BitDefender, fully managed by me with all the exceptions added in. Shouldn't even be considering it a threat.

Either way I've gone and reinstalled the agents. A pain, but not much else to be done.

Would really like to see improved update features for customised installs. It gets a little old needing to recreate my MSI/EXE/Agent from scratch every update and then push the files out individually. The application really should be capable of updating itself automatically without losing settings.

Old Clients just.. gone.

That was indeed my thoughts on the matter, however the AV console has no record of removing them and didn't remove any of the new versions. I manage the AV for my clients so if it HAD been removed I'd have been notified and there'd be a record. Definitely not the AV.

So yeah. I have no idea, but it's gone and the only thing different about it is that it's an older client. Newer versions on the same network with the same AV policy running are fine.

Old Clients just.. gone.

A client I had running v6.8.0.1 had all their devices drop out of my viewer. Their servers and some desktops were all on v6.10.8.0 or later and remained without issue.

I connected via other means to find that all of them were gone without a trace, as though uninstalled. The users to not have that level of access and I checked out the Antivirus and other logs to verify that it wasn't removed by that.

What could cause this? As much as I'd love to keep everyone on the latest version, some customers of mine aren't online that often, or have the stand alone agent saved somewhere to open when needed. I update when I can but I also don't expect old versions to simply turn off without damn good reason.
