I tried with Use legacy capture enabled, but the problem remains the same: black screen.

Connect to the Agent inside active RDP

I wonder if it is possible to connect to Agent, which starts inside active RDP.
For example: on a costumer's office computer, the Agent starts normally and I can connect  with RutViewer to the user's desktop.

Now, now for pandemic reasons, the customer works from home and is connected to his office computer with RDP.

When he starts (inside his RDP session) the Agent in his usual way, I can connect with viewer, but my screen is black and I can't do anything.

I understand I can connect one level before - to his home computer and then enter with him to the RDP session, but for some reasons I don't want to connect to his home  computer and accessing his home desktop.

Is there any workaround about it?

Thanks..

If you build a custom Agent using the MSI Configurator, your custom Agent settings will overwrite all the traces of the previous Agent.

Well,  this is ok,  but I don't see the real reason why should Internet ID change at every upgrade.
This causes unnecessary problems and it is no need to be so.

Thank you for your information.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Could you please clarify, how did you upd ate the Agent? Did you download the vanilla Agent or build a custom Agent package using the  MSI Configurator ?
If you built a custom Agent, then could you please clarify what settings did you se t at  Step 3  of the configuration? Please double check, that the  Generate a new Internet-ID code  wasn't selected.
A screenshot of the  Internet-ID tab  of the configurator would be helpful.

Please let us know if the problem persists.

Hello Polina,
Thank you for your reply.

I built a custom Agent package with MSI Configurator and I don't use public RU server, but the one I installed  on my network (the latest version).

So - I do this in step 3:   - 14 May 2019 09:29:52

but it always generates a new Internet ID, when I first start the new version of the Agent.

I was making some test how version upgrade (to the latest version 6.10.9.0,) will affect my work with clients.
Host  Upgrade (installed as a service) - seems to work correctly if I use Remote Install procedure and MSI package that I prepared before for the new version.

But when I change the version of the Agent (exe file) I expected the Internet ID number on the client computer side will remain the same as  it was, but it changed, although I don't see any reason for this behavior.

Is  it possible somehow to  keep the Internet ID as it was before the new version of the Agent?

Direct Copy/Paste File Transfer, not working

Oh, this sounds really good if copy/paste files is in your future roadmap, because it would be really nice in lot of circumstances to do such an action directly without using File Transfer mode.

On the other hand - I think it would be even more handy if we can copy files between host and viewer directly from command line as it is possible with Microsoft Remote desktop.
For example: a command like
copy \\tsclient\c\SomeHostFolder\*.* e:\SomeLocalFolder\*.*
is there really a useful option, and I can use it even in a .BAT procedures.

I understand it can't be done in the same way, because Microsoft put this option in their own OS,  but you could perhaps make a command line program, let's say a kind of "RUcopy.exe" which could be then used in the same way as a windows "copy" instead and with similiar parameters.

What do you think about it?

Host / Agent callback from command line

I wonder if there is (or is planned to be in the future versions)  a command line option for callback connection where Host (or Agent) would call the viewer IP and port.
