Issues with Hosts after Windows 8, 10 updates affecting Client host settings

I have been having trouble with random different client hosts losing their Internet-ID, occasionally it seems the Usoris Remote Host has been removed though it still shows as installed in programs but it won't find the files to let me uninstall.

Most of these were created with a customized installer that emailed me a connection code. Sometimes I can restart the host and get it to come back, but most of the time it seems to be the loss of it's Internet-ID. I am using the standard Usoris server.

Any Thoughts on what's causing these odd anomalies, and what I can do to prevent them in the future?

Hello Keith,

Thank you for your post. Couple of questions:

1) Is there any antivirus software installed on the remote PC? If yes which one?

2) Did you upgrade Windows (8.1 and earlier) to Windows 10 with the Host having already been installed?

Some have Avast, some Vipre Business, some with Bitdefender.

Some are clean OEM w10 installs, some were upgraded from W8.1 pro. It doesn't seem to affect any of my w7 installs, fwiw.

I can't find a consistent pattern, there is no other remote access software installed on most, though one that was a w8.1>w10 upgrade w Avast also has  [censored] installed.

Keith,

We didn't receive any reports recently about the antivirus programs that you mentioned treating our Host badly. We also do regular checks on our own and monitor antivirus activity as it applies to Remote Utilities. There was nothing alarming.

Still, what you describe looks very much like antivirus software activity. Please, do report to us if you find a consistent pattern.
