Hi! I have two questions.
1. Im using the 4.3 version without the internet ID and still plannin to upgrade. But for the mean time, can your program be used with SSH Tunnel program like Bitvise Tunnelier for added security? I have used it with VPN and it worked fine, but Im trying some other ways.
2. If i live far around the globe away from the server, how can i make the remote feature and RDP respond faster? All other features are of acceptable speed though. I am comparing it with the speed that [moderated] has.
THANKS.

Hi Alex,
1. No, SSH tunnel is not in our plans.
2. RDP has nothing to do with RUT's performance. You can check it for yourself if you use the generic RDP client instead of RUT-Viewer. As for the remote feature, you probably meant 'Full control' or 'View only' mode. Try to reduce the color depth a little bit, and use the 'Economode'. You will find both these settings in the 'Properties' for the connection in the RUT-Viewer.
BTW, I would recommend you upgrading to the v.5.0. Apart from new features, such as the Internet ID, there were numerous little fixes that were made in the version 5.0.
Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes I meant the Full Control coz it seem the keyboard input cant catch up and is missing some key presses. I have set it to 15fps and economy mode. Internet ID in version 5 is really great. Thank you for this improvements.

Thanks for the kind words. 8) We are going to release the version 5.1 soon. This one will have some major improvements, so stay tuned. I would recommend you subscribing to our product newsletter, the subscription form is available on the home page. This way you will get notified about the new version when it is out.
P.S. "Soon" here means "within a 1-1.5 month timeframe".

Hi Bobby,
If you mean version 5.1 it's been available since the 12th of December :) To be exact, the most recent version right now is the version 5.1.1. It's downloadable here.
Regarding the tunnels etc. RUT does not create a VPN tunnel. However, if the network environment on either side (remote or local) is restrictive and only allows port 443, the program automatically uses port 443 provided that you connect using the Internet IDconnection.
Also, in the version 5.1. proxy settings are available for both Server and Viewer.
