Host stops working

Windows 10, Host v6.6
I have five Host users, all 6.6 and Windows 10
On one system, Host fails, repeatedly, I have un-installed and re-installed Host at least six times.
On my last attempt, did a un-install - then edited the Registry and deleted all entries
for Host.
Installed - failed within two days (again)

the problem - the sub-folder "Logs" for Host keeps disappearing - yup gone !!

Any ideas?

Hello Frank,

Please, try the following:

1. First add Host installation path to Avast exceptions. This is how to do it

2. Completely uninstall Host.

3. Install it back and see if the problem persists.

Sorry for the delayed response... subject computer was not local.
Had another/different problem with Avast, so canned it, installed Bitdefender.
"Host" has been solid for three days.

Hello Frank,

Alas, modern antivirus programs may be a bit overzealous :)  

You can add the Host as an exception to Bitdefender just in case. Please, refer this page for more information
