I have one windows xp system, that it failed todo the simple update.  ran it manually and i get The wizard was interrupted before remote utilities- host could be completely installed.  your system has not been modified.    Rolled back to 7.6.2.0, no problems.

I could not find any logs files.

Similar problem.  XP - tells me there's an upgrade, I click on the upgrade link, it shows the download, then a illegible pop-up that vanishes instantly.  The install doesn't happen.
Hi Brad and Johann,

Thank you for your messages.

Could you please clarify if you’ve already tried installing the update manually? Does the issue occur only on Windows XP machines or does it occur only on one specific machine?

Looking forward to your reply.
I only have one Windows xp Machine.  I tried todo the simple upgrade, lost access to the server.  I then downloaded 7.3.3.0 and tried to install, and it failed with the above message.   I don't have any other windows xp machine to try on.
Hi Brad,

Thank you for the follow up.

One more question - does the issue occur only when trying to update Host or is the same issue happening when updating Viewer on that specific machine?

Looking forward to your reply.

I think it may be related to the version of VC++ used to compile the software.

The viewer was not installed before, but when I try to run it I get The Procedure entry point initializcriticalsectionEx could not be located in  the dynamic link library kernel32.dll

this tool can not install on Windows XP or 2003 server.
Hi Pauline,
You can add me to the list of users that cannot get the host install to an XP machine. Same results as the above responders. The Microsoft troubleshooter tool mentioned above, is for Windows 10-11.
Rolling back to 10.x.x.x solves the problem.
