I forgot settings protection password. What should I do?
The Settings Protection is used to password-protect the Host settings from being changed by the remote user. If you forget the settings protection password you will have to reset the Host settings in the Windows registry:
- On the Host machine hit Win + R to invoke the Run dialog.
- Type in
regeditand hit Enter.
- In the Windows registry editor locate the registry key (entry)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Usoris\Remote Utilities Hostand delete it.
- The Host settings will reset to their default values.
Note that your access password will also be emptied, so you will need to create/set Host access password again.
