With some installations of Windows XP, the Viewer couldn't connect to the Agent. Is there any limitation regarding Windows XP below SP3? Perhaps, the problem was a slow internet connection. Which is the minimum internet speed to ensure the connection keeps on? "Dial-up / GPRS mode" was activated and no luck.
As an improvement, it would be nice to have a button at the bottom of the Agent to 'Disconnect + Close', because if you try to close on the Agent's window cross this one gets close but Viewer receive a message about retrying connection. On the other hand, if you close the connection on Viewer's connection cross, the connection is closed but Agent don't close.
Congrats for your product, it's really a serious alternative to TeamViewer.
I've been tasting Remote Utilities for 2 weeks and I have some questions:
1. In the MSI Configurator, for custom Agent.exe you should be able to translate the phrase "Run after reboot", and also the ability of changing the tray icon. 2. I don't know how the relay server works, but would it be possible to build an own relay ID server at a shared web hosting, maybe written in php or python which return the ID - in a JSON format for example? Interesting... 3. Viewer lacks the ability of quick connect, in case somebody want to connect through Agent version, thus you don't need to add connection into address book. 4. Check for updates button on portable Viewer does not work.
