I just updated to v7.7.3.0 of the viewer on my Windows 11 25H2 laptop. I updated from version 7.6.2.0.  The new version seems to run well and perform as expected.  When I run the viewer, both the header and the help about confirm that I am at version 7.7.3.0.  However, there remains a yellow banner just above the connections window that states "Version 7.6.1.0 has been released. See release notes."  Why would that be.  How do I make the viewer realize that it is fully up to date. Also, clicking anywhere along that yellow banner has no effect.  See uploaded image.  Thank you.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for letting us know.

Your new version is ok. It was a typo in the file which supplies the text to the yellow stripe message. We've fixed it now and the yellow stripe should show the correct version (may take some time to propagate the change across cloud servers).

It's been about 4 days now and the yellow notification bar persists. As a test, I installed the v7.7.3.0 viewer on my desktop and the yellow banner does not display and it should not because there is no newer version available. I go back onto my laptop and I uninstall the viewer and then reinstall and the yellow banner shows up again.  I uninstalled and reinstalled a second time and the yellow banner continues to show.  Since the installed viewer is up to date, there should be no yellow banner at all. In fact, there is no yellow banner on my desktop's viewer. I also turned off my internet connection and opened the viewer and there was the yellow banner again. So, the yellow banner shows after reinstalls, with or without internet connection, and displays as newly available a version which would have shown up if I was still on v7.5.1.  Lastly, that yellow banner is totally dead in my case.  If it were a proper notification then I would be able to click on the "X" on the right to close the notification.  I should also be able to click on "See release notes" to be taken to your website to read the release notes.  But none of those functions work.  The viewer itself so far works without a problem and as expected but that yellow banner is annoying and shouldn't be there.  Maybe there is something specific on my laptop remaining from an older installation that I have not been able to find or to clear. I just wanted to bring this issue back to your attention. Thank you.
Hi Frank,

You can simply disable the banners. In Viewer: Tools -> Options -> Update -> Disable built-in notifications:

Thank you so much.  That worked perfectly.  I didn't even have to "disable built-in notifications".  All I had to do was to click on "retrieve all notifications".  Then the yellow banner refreshed and said something like "welcome to remote utilities".  With that, the "X" on the right became functional and closed the yellow banner.  Just the way it supposed to be.  Just perfect.  Again, thank you so much for your quick and accurate response.
