Remote Utilities Sever (RUS)
The RU Server is a stand-alone program that can be integrated with Remote Utilities for a fully autonomous self-hosted remote support solution. RU Server can be downloaded and installed locally on your premises. Thus you will have full control over your mediated connection and will no longer depend on our global servers for firewall bypass.
RU Server Console
The program consists of two parts:
- Administrator’s console
The service is installed and run on the gateway PC that acts as an intermediary between the local and remote PCs. The machine with the RUS Service installed must be accessible from the Internet by an external (public) IP address, either directly, or via a router using port mapping.
The Administrator’s Console allows you to configure and monitor the RUS service. This console can be installed on the same PC on which RUS Service is running. RUS Service can also be accessed remotely from a console installed on another PC.
Learn about the benefits of using RU Server
The system requirements for the RUS are the same as for Remote Utilities: Windows 8/7/Vista/XP/2000 and Windows Server 2012/2008/2003, with support for both 32- and 64-bit editions. There are no special hardware requirements — you can run the RU Server even on an ordinary workstation.
RUS is a free program provided "as is". You can download RUS here.
