"Video codecs are not installed" error


When attempting to run the Voice and Video chat connection mode the following message appears:

Video codecs are not installed error


To resolve the issue you must manually download and install the necessary codecs:

  1. Fully exit the Viewer (FileExit).
  2. Download WebM/VP8 DirectShow Filters and unzip the file.
  3. Run the install_webmdshow.exe file on the PC where the Viewer is installed.
  4. Run the Viewer and try to connect to the remote PC in the Voice & Video chat mode.
