i have the server set up on a PC inside my home. I have the host installed on several computers inside and outside my home. I can run the viewer on several PC's and get to any of the PC's in my synced address book just fine. I can do so inside and outside my home.  But this iOS app has a mind of its own. There are no clear instructions anywhere on how to set up the app. There is a caption field which I assume you can type whatever you want and this is just a "name" for the entry. A host field which I assume you put in your internet ID of the host.  Speaking of which, there are other posts in this forum that say to type your internet ID exactly as shown on the host, and it's case sensitive.  All my hosts have numerical Internet IDs so there is no case to be sensitive about, so that doesn't make sense. I've seen posts about the GMS server and a screenshot of that setting but that's not in the latest version.  I see RU server settings. All my hosts, iOS apps (even the version with some Russian text in the App Store), server, and viewers are up to date.  

The only thing I can get to work on iOS is connecting to a host inside the same network but only if I use the Russian-text version of your app and only if I use the real IP address of the host and only if I leave RU server field blank.

I don't get it. I just can't figure this iOS app out. Why are there 2 versions in the store? There is one called RMS (with some Russian text on the main screen), and one called Remote Utilities. Do I need to delete and reinstall the iOS app?  Can you PLEASE create iOS specific instructions. The links in the forum to the documentation doesn't help iOS users.  I really love the desktop apps, but this iOS app is driving me nuts. I've tried every combination.  I have all my ports defaulted on the server/host and open in my router firewall.  I am missing something simple, I just can't figure out what it is. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you Conrad. Deleted both apps, rebooted, and reinstalled just the one. I can get it to work now but only if I put in the internet ID (with dashes), let it try and connect, put in password, it connects, then I get out and edit the entry. It lists the Internet ID under the caption, nothing under host. So I put the Internet ID under host and change the caption to the PC name.  All is well. If I try to create an entry by putting in the name/caption first, letting it connect, fail, then editing the entry it will never work.  This is where I failed before. It HAS to connect to Internet ID successfully otherwise no amount of editing the entry will prove successful.
