Problem with cursor's color

Hi!

I have a problem with the cursor. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me.

On some text programs/editors with a dark background (IDEs, Notepad++, Putty terminal, etc.), the remote cursor is very difficult to see, as it is also dark. I am talking about the standard cursor for text selection/editing, that looks like a vertical bar.

Normally on such dark backgrounds it is white, but when connected through RU, that is not the case.

The host PC has Win 10 pro.

These are my cursor settings:

Hello Ivan,

Thank you for reporting this.

We managed to reproduce the issue and will forward it to our developers to see what can be done to fix it.

I'll keep you updated.

Hello Ivan,

Thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we will be able to implement a fix for the issue any time soon.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for the update.
Do you think that this issue affects many users or is it something related to my environment (say OS version)?
I am surprised that no one has reported this so far, because with the default cursor settings it is a pain to work with terminals or dark text editors. What I am using now is the option to always display the default arrow cursor. That way I can see it, but the problem is that when I need to resize a window, it is difficult, as the cursor doesn't change and I sometimes need to try a few times till I manage to click on the exact window border.

Hello Ivan,

Thank you for the clarification.

It's unlikely that the issue is related to the environment, as we managed to reproduce it on a Windows version.

I am surprised that no one has reported this so far, because with the default cursor settings it is a pain to work with terminals or dark text editors.

I understand. However, while we do have this fix on our wishlist, there are lots of complications and the priority of it is much lower. I'm sorry, but it's unlikely that we will be able to release the fix for this issue any time soon, as we have more pressing priorities to implement.

I'm sorry if this made the program less useful for you.

I understand.
Thanks for your honest answer.
This issue is annoying, but your software seems pretty nice overall and one of the best free options on the market.
I think that most people don't use dark editors. But most IT people do use dark editors a lot and consoles/terminals BTW are almost always black. I would suspect a great portion of your userbase is actually IT people. So I hope this thread has been useful to other users as well.
Thanks again and keep up the good work!
