"E-mail is not sent" error


The following message appears when you run a customized Agent or Host:

E-mail is not sent. Check your Internet connection.


This issue occurs when two conditions are met:

  1. You have selected the Generate a new Internet ID and send it to e-mail option during MSI configuration process.
  2. There is no Internet connection on the computer where you are running the Agent or Host, and, therefore, the program cannot communicate with the SMTP mail server to send the message.


Make sure that the computer where you are running the Agent/Host has Internet access. The program will continue attempting to send the message automatically until the message is sent successfully.

You can also check your e-mail Spam/Junk folder. A message from Remote Utilities may have been marked as spam.
