What is an Internet ID connection?

An Internet ID connection is the connection established through the intermediary web-server also called a 'mediation server'. This type of connection eliminates the need for an external IP address and complicated network settings. All you need to know to successfuly connect to a remote PC is its Internet ID and password.
An Internet ID connection is primarily used in a situation when you need to bypass hardware or software firewalls that prevent direct IP-to-IP connection.
