A very nice little remote utility. Very quick installation for a RDP alternative. Just install a host PC and then install a viewer on a separate PC and you are remotely connecting in no time.
I have been on the hunt for a remote control solution that I could wrap my arms around and have it do all I want it to do and not have to break the bank or have to pay forever. I have found that solution here with Remote Utilities.
One of the first things my new Computer Support provider did was send me the link to Remote Utilities. It sat in my inbox for five months until one day while pounding by head against the wall trying to figure out what would do more of what I want DameWare, LogMeIn or TeamViewer. Each one has something the other has or does something slightly better then the other but none of them knocked my socks off. I shared my frustration with my IT support person and he asked me if I ever looked into the link to Remote Utilities he had sent me, The light bulb shined as I remembered that was one of the e-mails that I had been keeping in my inbox to check out someday when I had some free time.
My oh my, I am so glad I made the time to check this out before going with one of my other choices. The search ended here. Remote utilities does everything I need it to do and more. It seems everyday I find something new I can do with it and it is all included in one license fee. The best part for me is the Active Directory integration. Saved lots of time for me and I don't have a large network. It seems to have all the best parts of the most popular choices of remote control software but better and with more options too. It is even easier to setup and deploy including remote install and Group Policy install on the LAN. You can customize your own MSI to keep your installs quick and consistent. If you try this out, you too will be singing it's praises and wondering how you survived without it!!
After researching many remote software solutions, I recently decided to purchase Remote Utilities software. I felt that it had the most functionality, and would be the best fit for me, and our company. In addition, I found more positive reviews about Remote Utilities, than any competitor’s software. Remote Utilities incorporates everything I need as an I.T. specialist, to quickly, easily, and effectively manage all computers on our network. At a moment’s notice, I can quickly join a user via a remote session to troubleshoot errors, provide training, and/or brainstorm ideas, all while viewing the same information. Some direct and immediate results we continue to experience are less computer downtime, more effective training, and overall improved employee efficiency. In addition to a great product, the customer service has been excellent. The support staff has been very quick to respond to my questions, in a very friendly and helpful manner. It wasn’t long before I realized that their marketing slogan is true. Remote Utilities truly is the Swiss Army knife of remote computing.
I am very satisfied with the program and it is very straightforward to install and use. That is specially useful for family members, most of whom are not tech savvy and just need help once in a while. Most importantly, when your company came out with the Home Licensing option, it was a great thing and it made the software affordable for us home users. Besides that, it has a whole lot of easy to use functions and I would recommend it anytime to anyone.
For power users, there's plenty to like about Remote Utilities. Several connection modes are offered beyond the full remote desktop experience. There's also a file transfer mode, remote device manager, registry viewer, remote webcam access, and a terminal mode--which is an excellent way to perform simple command line tasks from a distance.
Remote Utilities is a very well done product, very easy to use and powerful.
