Screen Sharing
Remote screen sharing is available in a View only connection mode. Someone sitting at the remote PC can share their screen with you but you cannot control the remote mouse cursor or send keystrokes. This feature is often used by helpdesks to assist remote users with their tasks.
Just like the Full Control mode, the View only mode window has a pop up toolbar at the top. You can quickly switch from screen sharing to any other mode without entering a password provided that the remote server settings allow the chosen connection mode.
There are three ways you can view the screen of the remote PC:
- Normal. This view shows the remote desktop in a separate window. The picture is neither squeezed nor stretched, and the pixels are shown as is. If the viewer screen is smaller than the remote screen, scroll bars appear and the image can be moved around with a mouse.
- Full screen. The remote PC screen image occupies the entire screen of the viewer PC and is stretched or otherwise scaled if necessary.
- Stretch. The remote screen is shown in a scalable window, but the image size follows the size of the window. So you can make the image as big or as small as you want.
